Did time stop…………..

This french inspired home feels like it is in some different era. No clocks are ticking, no phones allowed and what is the internet? This place really invites you in to a history of its own and where time and place does not matter nor exists. So take of your shoes, put your feet up and just lay back and relax or explore the many fine details at this place………………….

Cool stuff…………

In a loft in New York this amazing lady Dana Barnes makes her wonderful rugs. Every rug is hand crafted and is made from un spun merino wool. After having done the actual rug it is put in the washing machine for some time to agitate. Beautiful work from an amazing woman……………….

Rustic stars………

Last weekend I started the first preparations for December deco……….This years theme for my x-mas is rustic. So the kids, a bunch of friends and their kids, my dog and I went to the woods going branch hunting (yes, not sticks but branches! ) It was a really cool and fun day, the kids had a lot of fun and we found heaps of good stuff for the rustic DIY weekend.   We ended up at my place drinking the famous hot gløgg, which is a warm red wine with raisins and almonds and the mandatory æbleskiver which tastes like pancakes but better. So here is a glimpse of our finds and projects…………..

Don´t throw stones when living in……………

In Hollywood Hills, California this over the top (off course) fantastic house has the best view ever! Focus here was definitely being able to enjoy the magical nature and the overview of the city. The brilliant architects from  XTEN Architecture created this amazing space where glass was the primary wall enclosure material. A total of 44 floor to ceiling sliding glass panels can disappear into hidden pockets or slide beyond the building……………….Just imagine the absolutely luxury feel there is in this house and the fact that you never have to feel locked inside! So cool and well done……..

Miniature architecture………….

I had to look twice to make sure that this was a play doll house! It is so cool and I am glad that finally someone can make fab stuff for the kids to play with that I, as a parent, actually like looking at and don´t mind having in the living room………The company Miniio find inspiration in the best grown-ups design, materials and solutions and transform that into a minor scale just big enough to fit all 30cm fashion doll. Every piece is handmade!! I think it is fantastic and this is defiantly one x-mas gift to be put under the tree………..

Check the web page of the company to see sooooo much more! You can even purchase wall paper and decorate it to your taste.

The nomads are moving in………..

It might be because winter is heading my way that I keep falling for summer houses, beaches, retreats etc……..but here is another one I must share! This fab family of 4 has a unique place in Valleviken, Rute socken in Northern Gotland, Sweden. It used to be an old shop where the farmers sold their goods, but this family is now the happy owner of their own hide and seek place. Here Morocco meets the industrial look, pj´s and night gowns can stay on all day beacause they can! I love it and feel like slipping into something comfy and just RELAX……….have a nice weekend
